Ireland Wedding Celebrants

About this project

Why we built this

The register is public. Finding the right person in a government spreadsheet should not be difficult.

Making public information useful

Ireland has a public Register of Solemnisers. It lists the people who are legally registered to solemnise a marriage. The information is available online, but the spreadsheet can be hard to search, filter and understand.

This project was made for one reason: to help you find a celebrant who can legally marry you in Ireland. It turns the register into a directory you can search by name, county, ceremony type and nominating organisation.

Kept in step with the register

We build the directory from the official register on gov.ie and refresh it when a new file is published. We clean the formatting and organise the information, but we do not add biographies, ratings, reviews or recommendations.

Civil registrars are not shown because they are assigned through the HSE rather than chosen by a couple. Everyone else appears because they are on the public register, not because Ladybird Ever After endorses or works with them.

A free Ladybird project

Ireland Wedding Celebrants is a free project by Ladybird Ever After. It is independent of the government, the HSE and every nominating organisation listed here. The goal is simply to make an important public record easier to use.

Reproduced from Ireland's public Register of Solemnisers on gov.ie. Last refreshed 6 August 2026. We do not add, recommend or vet anyone on this list.
